How the Configurator Works
This tool was built to simplify a difficult paint-selection process for customers while working around BigCommerce platform limitations.
- Select year to narrow the vehicle range.
- Choose make and model to move into the correct fitment path.
- Match the paint color code to identify the exact finish.
- Present the correct paint products in a guided flow instead of making the customer search manually.
- Add to cart seamlessly by handing the selected items back into the BigCommerce cart experience.
The configurator logic and lookup system run through our own server and database, while the final shopping flow still feels native to the BigCommerce storefront.

- BigCommerce did not provide direct database access, so the configurator logic and lookup system were built on our own server.

- Even though the configurator runs through our server and database, the add-to-cart experience connects back into BigCommerce smoothly.
